MAS DES PLATANES

This is an imposing and rather beautiful mas dating back to the mid-19^th century with a later extension added to it.  It is surrounded by extensive well-maintained gardens of nearly 5 hectares, which include an olive grove, an orchard of pear trees, almond, fig trees, three sturdy plane trees, a pretty kitchen garden, an ornamental pool, a chicken coop for fresh daily eggs, a swimming pool of 18 metres and a vast terrace of 400m2, part of which is covered with white wisteria. The terrace has both a lounging area and an area for dining.

The interiors are both welcoming and absolutely charming, the main building, as one would expect is more traditional with antiques and “objets d’art” to the fore, than the extension, which has been decorated and furnished in a more modern Provencal style.

The main building features a fine entrance hall with the main staircase, off which is a small intimate living room to one side and the country style kitchen with back kitchen, a secondary staircase and dining area, through which is the large living room complete with shelves full of books. The discreet resident guardians live in an apartment with a separate entrance to one side of the mas. There are two long driveways to the property and there is ample secure parking for a fleet of cars.
