Mas du Relais dates back to the 17th century, when it was originally a postal relay station. It is located close to the village of Le Thor which is 3 kms away, whilst the pretty market town of Isle sur la Sorgue, famous for its antique shops is 7 kms away and Avignon, the City of Popes is 14 kms from the property.
The mas is set in 1.5 hectares of land with distant views of the imposing hilltop Chateau of Thouzon and the grounds include; cherry, apple, apricot, plum and olive trees. Scents of lavender, rosemary, and the songs of cicadas soothe one in this warm, sunny and calm retreat. Some 30 metres to the front of the mas the Infinity pool of 17 x 5m welcomes you in the sunshine and the open barn which has been converted into a wonderful summer kitchen and lounge.
The house has been lovingly restored, using original materials and techniques, but also provides all modern comforts and conveniences to make your stay enjoyable.
